Seems to be a lot of negative publicity about Australia lately. We've known for a long time the negative aspects of Australia. The high burglary rate, especially in Perth. Large numbers of drug addicts (who commit the burglaries). It all boils down to being too humane. Being too soft on crime. I think I can safely say that those who have been victims of burglary or other crime will stop supporting this stance (most of them, anyway).
After the hanging of the drug trafficker, we read that 2000 people attended a memorial for him. I'm sure most of these 2000 have not been victims of crime.
Now, race riots in Sydney. Just like in France, the police have been slow to take the gloves off. Criminals and lawbreakers understand only the mailed-fist. It is time for zero-tolerance.
I was thinking of going to Perth this year. But I may have to think again.
That's Ronnie Coleman, 8 time Mr Olympia. Wow.
